We have also tracked "my pet sea turtle"!

The goal of the Sea Turtle Conservancy is to save sea turtles, especially those who have been wounded and rescued.  Once they have recovered, they are released and returned to their natural habitat.  One of the sea turtles that we have been tracking is Dr. Turtle.  You can find his path here.  Just click on "Turtle Tracker" and then "Active turtles".  Once you get there, scroll down to find Dr. Turtle's name.

Hi Everyone!
I am Karen Van Schepen.
I teach 2nd grade at Southwest Christian Schools.
I have been teaching for several years and thoroughly enjoy it!
I grew up in Edgerton and attended Edgerton Christian Elementary and Southwest Christian High.
I graduated from Dordt College in 1980 with my degree in Elementary Education.
My husband is a veterinarian and also an assistant pastor at our church.
We have three boys who are all teachers!

A favorite Bible passage of mine is Psalm 139, especially verses 13-14, where it says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
We are wonderfully made, aren't we?
I believe that each of us is a unique child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made!  God created each of us the way he wanted, and most importantly, He made us to know Jesus!  That's my goal as a teacher is to teach my students to read and write, but most of all, to get to know Jesus!
