Meet Mrs. VanBockel

Hello! And welcome to our third grade classroom! I am Barb Van Bockel and I am the third grade teacher here at SWC. I have always enjoyed working with kids and I have found teaching to be very fulfilling! I love that light bulb moment when a student suddenly understands a new concept. Kids bring so much laughter into my life! I enjoy being able to share with them my faith in God and that Jesus Christ is my Savior! It is a been a huge blessing to teach the kids of the kids I taught! This year's theme is RISE UP based on ISAIAH 40:30-31. 

 

I live with my husband, Glenn on a farm east of Holland, MN.  Our 2  sons and their wives live in the suburbs of the Twin Cities. Our daughter, Annaka and her husband, Zach live in Bruce, SD. Zach and Annaka have blessed us with 2 grandchildren, Lillian, who is 2 and Theo, who is 7 months. We are looking forward to our third grandchild in September. An interesting tidbit: our son Sam also teaches third graders!!
